Links
This is a place-holder for now as I continue improving the blog going in 2026. Long term this will be a list of connections to other blogs and websites that I admire, read myself, or otherwise recommend. It's a little sparse to start with, but it will fill out with time
TTRPG Blogs
In 2025 I dove deep into the OSR Blogosphere, and so I will link here many of my favourite things to read.- Rise Up Comus The blog of Joushua McCrowell, creator of His Majesty the Worm and the Dungeon Design Course. Without Josh and his game I would likely never have fallen in love with the OSR.
- Prismatic Wasteland The beating heart of the OSR blogosphere with regular posts are always interesting and entertaining.
- False Machine I have discovered a number of fascinating books through this blog that I never would have encountered otherwise on topics as diverse as lists of gifts given to the Chinese Emperor, Welsh Poetry, and speculative future human evolution - a dream of a blog.
Youtube Channels
I am still, in 2026, a big fan of video content, even as I remain a text focused person. This year will hopefully mark my dipping my toe into the world of video blogging, but I will remain in spirit and practice, a writer.- Action Button The incredible video "reviews" of Tim Rogers are probably the reason I'm writing this blog here today. The pleasure he takes in expressing himself, in having detailed thoughts and opinions on a wide variety of subjects, and in sharing himself with a wide audience while always linking these observations back to the subject at hand is the pinnacle of an Art Form. Which art form? The one he does, whatever that is. A new video from Tim is an Event. I lurk in his discord to get recommendations from the many cool and smart goblins with good taste that hang out there.
- Bookpilled Great videos about science fiction books, thorough and thoughtful reviews mixed with quick summaries of large numbers of books that provide a great overview of the genre and its long and deep history.
- Masked Manta A relatively new booktuber who caught my attention right away with his deep cuts and his recommendation of Invisible Cities, a book I would classify as "the greatest of all time" (maybe)
